Funk, Love and Soul
Buffalo, New York based R&B artists began performing in small night clubs in Western NY in the late 70’s. The Exoutics became locally recognized after releasing the song “Here We Go Again” on their independent record label in 1978 climbing to number 12 on the local charts remaining there for 3 months. The success of this song prompted the group to write and record “The Exoutic Touch” album, which featured the soulful vocals of Darrel Vaden and very much challenged the musical status quo at the time. The album was moderately successful in the U.S. and very well received in the U.K. Inspired by the recent trend to recapture the “old school” soul music feel and repeated requests by fans to make “The Exoutics” songs available, The Group has released “The Anything You Want” Old School – Funk Love & Soul album.
